Tuesday, January 27 at 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM Pacific
Take a quiet pause in your week and paint something simple and beautiful.
This free 30-minute online watercolor class is a relaxed, live session where we explore plant-based or landscape-inspired watercolor painting together. I paint one complete piece in real time, explain my creative choices as I go, and answer questions throughout.
It’s designed to be approachable, calming, and easy to join — even if you’ve never taken a watercolor class before.
What You’ll Experience
During each session, you’ll see:
A complete watercolor painting created from start to finish
Simple techniques for painting florals, plants, trees, or natural landscapes
How I keep watercolor loose, forgiving, and enjoyable
Real-time explanations of color choices, brushwork, and composition
Open Q&A as we paint
You’re welcome to paint along or simply watch and learn.
What We Paint
All subjects are nature-inspired and intentionally simple, including:
Florals and botanical elements
Fruits and plant forms
Trees and organic textures
Soft, peaceful landscape scenes
These sessions focus on process over perfection — the goal is ease, not pressure.

About the instructor
Cassie Zhang Arver
I create and teach watercolor as a way to slow down, reconnect with creativity, and make art feel approachable rather than intimidating. My work is inspired by plants, florals, organic forms, and natural landscapes, and my teaching style focuses on clarity, ease, and encouragement.
In my classes, I break watercolor down into simple, manageable steps and explain my thought process as I paint. I believe watercolor doesn’t have to be perfect — it just has to be practiced with curiosity and kindness.
I teach watercolor classes online and in person, working with adults of all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re brand new to watercolor or returning after time away, my goal is to help you feel confident picking up a brush and enjoying the process.
